Middle Country Road Renaissance Project
Task Forces

On-going efforts of the Renaissance Project are carried forth by the following task forces (click on the task force title to view its current reports and notices):
Community Involvement Task Force:

This task force works to keep community organizations and individuals involved and participating in the process. It works to increase awareness and participation in the efforts of the Renaissance Project, through the Renaissance Project's Web site, presentations, printed materials, media outlets and contacts with local residents, organizations and businesses.

Members: Ira Brickman, Jeff Davis, Erma Gluck, Kris, Kahl, Connie Kepert, Larry Mazza, Ira Siegel, Tom Talbot,

Pending Applications Task Force:

This task force interfaces with the Town's Planning Division to keep track of all applications along the corridor. The task force also is involved with meetings with developers and property owners concerning pending applications.

Members: Jeff Davis, Connie Kepert, Conrad MKreylinh, Tom Talbot

Immediate Improvements Task Force:

This task force works with the Town, State, and adjacent landowners seeking immediate improvements along the Middle Country Road corridor.

Members: Erma Gluck, Tom Talbot

Funding Task Force:

This task force works along with board members from the Longwood Alliance to seek funding, in the form of grants, or member items, for continued community outreach.

Members: Eric Alexander, Connie Kepert, Chris O'Conner.

Research Task Force:

This task force provides important information on items such as previous market surveys done for the corridor, accident data, natural resource inventories, and housing assessments.

Members: Pola Griego, Suzanne Johnson, Brian Pratt, Tom Reilly

Overton Preserve committee:

This committee is working to insure proper preservation and planning for the proposed Overton Preserve.

Members: Include: Jeff Davis, Paul Infranco, Suzanne Johnson, Christopher Kollar, Connie Kepert, Chris O'Conner.

Middle Country Road committee:

This committee is working to move the DOT from their one solution to all traffic problems, a five lane highway to a roadway that moves traffic safely and effectively.

Members: Jeff Davis, Connie Kepert, Christopher Kollar, Andrea Mayers, Tom Talbot

UA Property:

This committee is working to develop a comprehensive plan to redevelop the United Artist theater property in Coram.

Members: Erma Gluck, Connie Kepert, Christopher Kollar, Ruby Ullnch

Task forces meet, as required, between monthly meetings.
